Sharp Pins blipped onto my radar last year. Somehow I missed their LP arrival Radio DDR, and I’m now in a pleasant game of catch up.
Better get with it though because in November Balloon Balloon Balloon is scheduled for release. The first single from that forthcoming LP is an absolute gem of a tune, “(I Wanna) Be Your Girl.”
‘Girl’ is a soft ballad in the best sense and features an earworm of a chorus. The recording process Sharp Pins uses really makes the track lilt along in a timeless vortex where you experience a sense of nostalgia and simplicity.
