What is it with Uncle Ears and Aussie acts? Love so much of the new music scene down under and now can add another to the list: Peach Fuzz.
Peach Fuzz are an indie-rock band from Naarm/Melbourne Australia, best known for their wild stage presence and 70s flare. The quartet is made up of Ben (guitars/vocals), Lewis (bass/keys), James (drums) and Lucinda (vocals). The four have only been together for a year, and in this time have garnered a reputation around their home city for having some of the most entertaining stage antics and churning out many catchy and melodic guitar-driven tunes.

“What Do You Want From This?” is just right as transition from US summer to autumn. It jangles like summer but reflects inward towards days indoors.
The guitar work is stellar and lifts the whole piece to another level. The vocals are laid back but perfectly pose the question.
I recently took a trip through the Northern Cascades in Washington State USA and this song was on my roadtrip playlist.
Picture if you will the fading days of summer blending with the pines, rocky edges and western motifs of that area. On comes the Peach Fuzz tune, paying attention to both important questions and the need to deliver them both passionately and playfully.
Sometimes that’s better than finding answers.
