The retro pulses of MONTAND are like a magical motion picture soundtrack to both the 1980’s and right now. These songs are two years old but ignore the passing of time and consider 2023 your year to discover this “Brit in Scandinavia.”
The low register of the vocals recalls Simple Minds as do some of these arrangements. Perhaps also Iggy Pop in the narration. It’s all fresh and exciting to the ears. The songs roll out with intention and an 80’s voyeurstic drive often missing in current tunes.
Get together again, guys. 2023 needs more from you.
