There is joy, motion and experimentation built in to Ian M. Poole’s music. The Norfolk, Virginia singer / songwriter / performer is coming into his own and creating everchanging dynamic sounds he shares on his YouTube Channel.
Poole is planning a December 1, 2022 release of a complete LP, “I Don’t Hate Me Anymore.” In advance he has been sharing new material, including the addictive single “Stars.”
The song is a display of his imagination as a songwriter and performer. It’s a driving beat with overlapping vocals and sweet synth work. It breaks and breathes and pulls you right in.
To get a further taste of what might be coming on Poole’s LP, he has also released “Writing On Da WALL.”
Poole has some older stuff on Spotify. Hear even more on his SoundCloud page.
Ian was able to round up friends and family to help produce two videos for previous releases in 2020 (“We Don’t Have To Dance“) and 2021 (“Find My Love.”) In both videos Poole comes off as a likeable persona. His natural warmth and talent shine through.
“Stars” is a really great as-is. Poole notes on the video description that the version he has shared above might not be the (final) LP version. “This Is My Original Mix, So Theres a possibility I might re-upload a new mix by my mixing engineer,” he writes. “But heres a gem for you all!”
